The Republic of Malta is an archipelago with three major islands—Malta, Gozo and Comino, situated south of Italy’s Sicily and north of Libya. The country has two official languages—Maltese and English, and it is one of the smallest and most densely populated nations in the world. Despite its tiny size, Malta is historically rich and owns a vast cultural heritage, as well as some of the most beautiful sceneries you have seen. I landed here only 2 months before the most famous local landmark, The Azure Window – featuring in films such as Clash of the Titans and The Count of Monte Cristo – collapsed into the sea after a heavy storm!
